As an Application Manager you are responsible for communicating with and supporting customers’ technical requirements and you are also responsible for the development and control of processes that will facilitate on-boarding, setup and operations of our customers.  

As an Application Manager you have the following responsibilities:

  • Management of strategic customer projects with providers of genetic kits in the pharma industry and with clinical laboratories 

  • Development and communication of technical processes for the on-boarding of customers and the setup of the analysis and validation platform 

  • Support customers with the laboratory validation of genetic kits and genetic tests 

  • Support customers in questions and problems regarding our product portfolio

  • Gather technical feedback on user experience and translation into the development process 

  • Presentation of clinical and technical features internally and externally 

  • Maintain relationships with customers and their technical staff  

  • Liaise with broad range of medical staff, researchers, scientists and industry professionals 

  • Communicate the full impact of genetic testing regulations and quality requirements to customers (e.g. IVDR, MDR, ISO 15189, FDA, ISO 13485)


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the laboratory, research, pharmaceutical or medical device industry 

  • Experience with test, kit, or assay validations in medical laboratories or pharmaceutical industry 

  • General understanding of quality and regulatory standards such as EU IVDR, MDR, ISO 15189, FDA, ISO 13485 and their implications for genetic testing

  • Very good English language skills, spoken and written (German is a plus)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Professional and friendly appearance

  • Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments within Platomics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSc (or higher) in genetics, biology, bioinformatics or similar education as laboratory technician or in natural sciences

  • Experience with medical literature and publication databases

  • Experience in NGS, genetics, genetic analysis and interpretation of results

  • Experience in working in an agile environment, and with tools like Salesforce, Jira/Confluence

You will earn an appropriate salary starting at EUR 50.000 gross/year (IT-KV). Willingness for over-payment is given for candidates with proper experience and/or qualifications.
