As Sales Manager you are responsible to initiate and grow customer relationships, monitor market dynamics, identify opportunities and act as voice of the customer. These activities should result in business success and product improvements according to customer requirements. 

As our Sales Manager you have the following responsibilities:

  • Consultative selling of complex digital solutions for genetic data analysis and regulatory automation

  • Listening to and learning from customers to understand what they really need

  • Active communication of market insights 

  • Contributing in setting up our sales strategy 

  • Leading dedicated commercial projects which you are assigned to 

  • Being always up to date about customer requirements, pain points and needs

  • With support of marketing department: Generating content for email campaigns, website/landing pages, social media posts, case studies, white papers, webinars, PowerPoint presentations to drive top-of-mind awareness 

  • Extending and ensuring accuracy of our CRM system

  • Negotiating and signing of contracts

  • Willing to travel up to 50% (mainly in the DACH area)

Required Qualifications

  • Education in natural sciences like Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or similar

  • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing workflows is highly appreciated

  • Basic understanding of bioinformatics and/or precision medicine is a plus

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Very good German and English language skills, spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of  experience in a similar position 

  • Established network in the clinical diagnostics ecosystem

  • Experience in building and growing customer relationships

  • Experience with CRM and project management software 

  • Regulatory knowledge IVDR, ISO15189, and ISO13485 is a nice to have

  • Project management 

  • Presentation and communication skills

You’ll earn a salary starting at a minimum of EUR 65.000 gross per year - career entry level (according to IT-KV). Willingness for over-payment is given for candidates with proper experience and/or qualifications. 

The Platomics office is very conveniently located close to Praterstern, easily reachable via U1, U2, S-Bahn and ÖBB. We offer flexible working arrangements.
